I was expecting more out of this round. With its promises of being a match round, great packaging, and decent looking bullets, I thought it was going to be a decent domestic competitor to the other match ammo types from the 2014 22LR test. Not only that, but it’s high velocity. Too bad accuracy did not deliver. Oh well, live and learn.
Federal HV Match Accuracy
Outside of the match ammo types, this accuracy would have been OK. Inside the match types, where most gave sub 1″ accuracy from most guns, it just wasn’t up to snuff. Is there a high velocity-only class where this ammo would make sense? I’m not sure what the point of match high velocity 22LR is if there isn’t a class for it and standard velocity rounds give better accuracy. Again, this stuff might be dynamite in your rifle, but it wasn’t so much in ours.
