The Caldwell Rotary Mag charger is a magazine loader for 10/22 type magazines. I bought it on the hopes of using it in the cold so I wouldn’t have to take my gloves off.
Long story short: it’s extremely finicky and I found that it was easier to just load rounds into the mag by hand, even in the cold. I tried pre-loading 1 round in the mag, tilting the loader, not tilting the loader, etc. Too much pressure on the handle will dent cases, too little and you won’t load your rounds. Maybe with some more training and time on it, I could get it to work more reliably, but for now I’m considering this a failure.
